1: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering
or Mathematics field.
2: 8+ years of job-related experience (6 with Master's)
3: Agile experience preferred
4: TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire
5: Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information.
6: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship
is required.
7: Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
8: Tracking mission design knowledge
9: Satellite communications knowledge
10: Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
11: System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
12: Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of
negotiation
13: Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing
requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design
behavior with emphasis on Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and
situational awareness of satellites and payloads and Experience with tracking
IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
14: Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level
space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
15: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies
and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
16: Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such
as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination,
system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
17: Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in
system design and deployment.
18: Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis
with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
== As a Systems Engineer for the program, this person will be a member of a
cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the
state-of-the-art ground operational system
== Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
== Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
== Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
